Nancy Louise Schaff

We lost our beloved mother Nancy Louise Schaff on May 8, 2025. She was the oldest of 3 children. Nancy was born to Earl and Doris Hicks on May 19, 1938, in her grandmother’s house in Florence KS. Her family moved to Montana where they worked as custom wheat cutters and traveled from Texas to Montana harvesting wheat. She was involved in several different school activities including cheerleading and band. She graduated from Moccasin High in Montana in 1956. She married her high school sweetheart Victor Schaff in August 1957.

She and Vic lived in Great Falls Montana for 5 years and then moved to Colorado Springs and started a family. They had 3 children. They bought their first house in 1969 and lived there until she passed. Nancy graduated from college in Great Falls and spent 50 years as a bookkeeper. She loved entertaining and would always host parties for her friends and neighbors. She was an accomplished seamstress and made a lot of the clothes for her daughters including their wedding dresses. Once the girls moved out, she started quilting. She was an avid collector of everything Barbie. She also loved to garden and always had beautiful flowers in the yard. She is survived by 1 brother, 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Nancy will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 US-85, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. A reception will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 US HWY 85/87, Colorado Springs, CO 80911.
