Nicky Neal Zaiger “Nick” was born in Carroll Iowa on February 11th 1951. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Howard and Nada Zaiger. He is survived in life by his wife Dianna, daughter Amy Wooldridge, daughter Jaelynne Zaiger, son Jordan Zaiger, Stephen Higby, James Higby, his three brothers, Dennis Zaiger, Barry Zaiger, and Brad Zaiger. Nick is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Nick took his rest on April 16th 2026 after a hard fought battle with colon cancer. Nick was absolutely authentic; an undisputed original. To know him was to love him and all who knew him could certainly call him a friend. Nick was always keen to lift spirits with a funny joke or a hilarious Iowa farm kid story. Nick was a lifelong Cubs fan no matter how they were playing that particular season. He enjoyed his time at his ranch and his livestock in Hanover, Colorado. He will be deeply missed by many. His love, kindness, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
