

Robert Raposa, age 67, a longtime resident of Fountain, passed away on May 2, 2014. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Robert was born on September 28, 1946 in Fall River, Massachusetts to the late Roland and Louise (Morriera) Raposa. He married Madeline (Madge) Affonso on September 9, 1969. Together, the Raposa family traveled the world while he served honorably in the United States Army. He retired after a tour in Vietnam, and stations in Germany, Texas, New Jersey, and Colorado.
Robert loved sports and was an avid Broncos fan. He enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Cripple Creek. He will be best remembered for his love of his family and wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Madeline (Madge) Raposa; and three daughters: Charlene Raposa; Sheila (Tod) Wolfe; and Shelly (Curt) Herrera. He is also survived by grandchildren: Derek, Carlton, Anthony, Jonathan (Brooke), Curt Jr., Christian, and Kayla; a great-granddaughter: Kyleigh; his sister: Anna Wadsworth; his brothers: Steven Raposa and Anthony Winnd; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandson, David.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 South Highway 85/87, Security, Colorado 80911.
