

Ruby Mathias was born on May 24, 1929 in Decatur, Illinois to the late Leslie and Wanetta (Allen) Mathias. She married Charles Graham in Illinois in 1945. Together they moved with his career in the Air Force. After Charles’ retirement, they settled in Fountain, Colorado in 1987.
Ruby worked a few part-time jobs, but was mostly known as a homemaker (or “Domestic Godess”). She loved ceramics and collecting treasures from yard sales.
Ruby was known for her love of humor and telling jokes. Her favorite joke to tell was “What is the difference between legal and illegal?” (Hint: one is a sick bird.)
She is survived by her son, William “Mike” (wife, Susan) Graham; daughters, Celce (husband, Michael) Cain, Pamela (husband, Buzz) Brewer, and Kathy (husband, Tony) Lopez. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Dorothy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her sister, Pauline, and her brother, Leslie “Short.”
Funeral services are planned for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Dove-Witt. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906.
