

After marrying Harold Thompson, Ruth spent the next 20 years touring the world courtesy of the U.S. Army. Finally settling in Fountain, Colorado she went to work with her best friend selling trees and flowers. She loved that job more than any other she did.
She enjoyed gambling, red wine, crime dramas and playing cards. Her favorite songs were "Why Me Lord" by Kris Kristofferson and "Need you Now" by Lady A.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving children, Evelyn (Calvin) Evans of Springfield, Virginia; David (Derella) Thompson of Fountain, Colorado; beloved granddaughter, Michelle Evans of Alexandria Virginia; as well as many relatives and friends.
Ruth Marlene Thompson requested that no services be held in her honor. Private burial will be held at Pikes Peak Veterans Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Marlene will spend eternity buried next to her beloved husband, Harold. She invites all of her friends and family to come out and visit her and Harold.
