

Sarah Aukai Clarose was a woman of profound beauty, both inside and out, whose life was a testament to selflessness, unwavering faith, and aloha. She was a devoted servant of the Lord, and on December 26, 2024, she returned to His loving embrace, finding eternal peace in paradise.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph Iokewe and Libby Kalaniwahine (Panoke) Rodrigues; her brother, Joseph Rodrigues; her sisters, Gladys Eltagonde and Primrose Kaimuloa; her son, Keith Clarose; her daughter, Libby Clarose-Massie; and her granddaughter, Jasmin Aukai Johnson.
Sarah leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her husband and kuʻuipo (sweetheart), Richard Clarose, her son Lance Clarose, and her daughter Heavenly Haunani Clarose-Budish (Drew). She was the proud grandmother of Brian Mikala Clarose (Crystal), Ricky Kapunakaneola Johnson (Christina), Alyssa Melelani Massie, Shayla Kanoelani Johnson-Gunning (Josh), and Heather Keala Martineau (Patrick). Her great-grandchildren, Zariah Kamalani, Pejah Napuanani, Gianna Keala, Arianna Malani, Aubriella (Bri), Teghen Hookele, Lilliana Okelani, Raidyn Ka’eo, Jr (Aria, Rowyn), Ruben (Diana) (RJ and Leonardo Kekoa Ioane), Robert (Kathy) (Melody Kalaniwahine), and Railene Ka’luna lanakila were a reflection of her enduring love. She is also survived by her sister, Carol (Lani) Aoki, and son-in-law, Howard Massie.
Sarah’s life was a beacon of light to all who knew her. She embodied the spirit of aloha. Her faith in God was unshakable, and she lived every day with gratitude and grace, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire those who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held on January 16, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Dove-Witt FM, located at 6630 S. U.S. Hwy 85 87, Fountain, CO 80817.
