Stanley Arnell Henry

Stanley Arnell Henry age 54, died at Penrose Hospital on October 20, 2010.

Born February 16, 1956, in Mound City, IL, to Felix and Rhoda Henry, he graduated from Meridian High School in 1974. Stanley served in the United States Army until 1996, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. On February 16, 1982, he married Evielin Pawlas, had four children Yvonne, Elaine, Monique, and Maurice.

He lived in Fountain since 1995, retired from the military 22 years, and worked at the Department of Corrections for ten years.

Stanley will be especially remembered for being a loving family man, wonderful husband, a great brother, a superior father, and wonderful friend.

Stanley loved, most of all, to work on his house and start new projects, building new things. Stanley was a very hard worker and always had an answer for every problem. He loved being around family and friends. Most of all, he enjoyed cooking wonderful meals and having barbeques in his back yard. He enjoyed being YSO soccer and baseball coach.

Survivors include: his mother, Rhoda Henry; four brothers, Lewis (Shirley) Stephon, Vernon, Scotty, and 6 sisters; Phyllis (Rodney), Kaye, Aleta (Garvin), Veronica, Vernessa (Haywood) and Michelle (Kincaid).

A Loving wife of 28 years; Evielin Henry; three daughters, Yvonne (Tony), Elaine (Billy), and Monique and one son; Maurice and 8 grandchildren; Angela, Jasmine, Arnell, Devonte‘, Tyree, Andre, Isabella, and Noella; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Felix Henry and his brother Sterling Henry.

Services will be held at Dove Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. HWY. 85/87 Fountain, CO 80817. Relatives and friends are welcome: wake is Friday, October 29, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. And funeral is 1:00 p.m Saturday October 30, 2010 visitation or additional gathering.
