Stephen Jackson

Stephen Eugene “Steve” Jackson passed away on October 14, 2012 at his home in Security. He was born February 8, 1959 in West Virginia to William and Norma (Pierce) Jackson. Steve married Ruth Ann (Isaksen) on October 12, 2002.

He was a long time cook at the Kwik Inn in Security and then started his own security firm Omega Security. He was a retired volunteer fireman for Security Village Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife Ruth; his children Jamie Buitendorp of Colorado Springs, Michele Basset of Peyton, CO, Chris Jackson and Michael Gillespie both of Security and Jimmy Norris. He also leave behind to mourn his passing 7 grandchildren, A niece Misty and nephew Michael and his 5 pugs, Skipper, Spassy, Wriggles, Little Bit and Boogie.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Norma Jackson, two brothers William Jackson and James Jackson and one sister Vick Lorton.

Visitation for Steve will be held Friday October 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday October 20th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary 6630 S. Hwy 85/87 Fountain, CO. A Celebration of Life will be held October 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary
