Sylvie Ann Comfort

Sylvie Ann Comfort, age 68, passed away February 1, 2026, after a short battle with Guillain-Barre (AIDP) syndrome. Her son, daughter-in-law, and sisters surrounded her with love day and night for the last four weeks.

Sylvie was born on January 10, 1958 in Poitiers, France to Paul and Maryse (Guillion) Miller. Her father was in the U.S. Army, so Sylvie lived many places stateside and in Europe before she and her family settled down in Colorado Springs, CO where she lived most of her life. Sylvie worked much of her early career in banking and commercial lending before later transitioning to property management.

She was a loving and compassionate mother, sister, and friend. Sylvie had a zest for life that was contagious, and a smile that would light up any room. Effortlessly, her impact on the lives of people she knew was almost instant. Sylvie will be greatly missed by her family and all that know her.

She is survived by her second husband Jeffry Comfort, loving son David (Vanessa) Cherek, loving sisters Linda (Kenny) Phillips, Pat (Don) Gilchrist, Stephanie (Shane) Gifford, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday February 13, 2026, at 11:00 am located at Restoration Church, 9355 Peaceful Valley Rd. Colorado Springs, CO 80925. Reception to follow.
