

CMSgt. Thomas Joseph Waters passed away on November 30, 2024 in his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado with his daughters by his side. Tom joined the United States Air Force in 1951. He served until his retirement in 1983. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked for a further 20 years in a civilian government service position. During his time in active duty, he traveled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.
Tom was born on July 27, 1933, to James Waters and Margaret Nicholas in Flushing, New York. He was the youngest of four children. When Tom was a young boy he developed a love for singing which continued throughout his life and eventually led to his singing in his parish choir at St. Dominic Catholic Church.
His greatest joys in life, besides his family and his faith, included playing darts, photography during his travels and traveling with his wife and pets in his RV.
Tom was a devote Catholic and was active in his local parish, St. Dominic Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir. He was a person of strong faith and values who donated to numerous charities.
He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Margaret Waters; his sister and husband, Peg and Joe Oltmann; his brother Jim Waters; his brother and his wife, William and Dorothy Waters; his beloved wife Yvonne and her son Russell.
He is survived by his daughter; Sharon Morales; daughter and son-in-law; Michelle and Ron Alt; grandchildren; Courtney Clark, Ryan Clark, Mikayla Alt and Nikolas Alt; sister-in-law; and Estelle Barnsley, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
