Wayne retired from Pentair Aurora Pump in North Aurora, Illinois after 42 years as an application engineer for the international market. He especially enjoyed getting to know his customers from other countries.
He married Rhonda Bauer on May 26, 1984. They had two children, Kevin and Gregory . He also has two grandchildren.
Wayne moved to Colorado Springs to enjoy the outdoors by camping and hiking. He liked to travel and tried to visit as many national parks and monuments as possible.
Retirement gave him time for his woodworking hobby of refinishing furniture that he found in thrift stores and garage sales. He also learned Tai Chi at the local senior center. He learned to play the Native American Flute and had collected quite a few.
Wayne will be remembered for his love of life and his ability to find humor in any situation.
