Daryn Roe Couch, age 56 passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. Born in Dayton on October 23, 1968 he was a son to Barbara (Fitzpatrick) Couch & the late Carl Couch.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son Spenser Couch, brother in law Tony Cecala, and both of his grandparents. Survived by his wife of 34 years, Theresa (Smith) Couch, whom he married on April 1, 1990: Every year there was an April Fools joke of whether it counted or not. Children James Couch; Shawna & Zack Allen; Abby & Joshua Manns; Lacey & Michael Saylor-Couch: grandchildren Madison, Axl, Haylee, Joshua Jr., Kiliyan Roe; Gavin; and Ava: siblings Myra Cecala; Byron & Joy Couch: nieces and nephews Emily, Jacob, Issac, Molly, Amy, Sarah, and Samuel: as well as many other friends and family.
Daryn was a “Jack of all Trades”, he started at 18 as a heavy equipment operator. He drove a semi truck, and he had his own remodeling business. Daryn enjoyed construction, woodworking, and building. If anyone needed work done he was willing to take a look at it and help, or at least tell you what you’re doing wrong. (He was really good at that.) Daryn’s passion was to sing and play his guitar. In the colder months he spent a lot of time painting on canvases for his family and friends, and painting over the ones that just weren’t good enough in his eyes. When he wasn’t doing all of that, he perpetually pondered all of the different things he could do to his truck, or spending hours on Facebook Marketplace searching for a new one, and complaining that “local” wasn’t close enough. He attended Dixie Highway Christian Center in Franklin, Ohio where he was welcomed with open arms and felt nothing but God’s love from those that attended with him. More than anything he loved his family (even when he complained about his kids stealing his tools, asking for remodeling advice, and taking over the projects for them) Daryn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends may call on the family from 2:00- 3:00 Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Franklin, Ohio. A Funeral will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Shawn Bowling presiding. Fond memories may be shared at https://www.dignitymemorial.com/funeral-homes/anderson for the Couch Family.
