Albert Russell Farris

Mr. Farris was born May 1, 1940 in Southern West Virginia to Willie Russell Farris and Lydia Margret (Keen) Farris. He was one of seven children.

After his service in the Air Force, he spent most of his professional life in the automotive repair industry as a body shop manager in Northern Virginia.

His interests included spending time with his family, playing bingo, and taking care of his garden, his livestock, and his pool.

He is survived by wife Peggy; five children: Allen, David, Linda, Annette, and Jerome; brother Paul; sisters Yvonne and Lou; seven grandchildren: Carl, Crystina, Miranda, Analisa, Kayla, Nicholas, and Jade; and two great grandchildren: Cierra and Faith; along with 20 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ida, his brother Ralph, and his brother Otis.

The viewing will be held at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home on Monday, June 18 from 7 to 9PM. A services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19 at 11 AM, followed by interment at Quantico National Cemetery at 1 PM. Online condolences may be sent to mullinsthompsonfredericksburg.com
