He was born on December 23, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York to the late John D. and Carrie Mildred (Philpot) Smith.
Albert served in the army as a Parachutist and Marksman, then was honorably discharged and work for the United States Postal Service in Ithaca, NY until he retired.
Predeceased by his wife Sophronia, parents and two brothers; Russell and Jeffrey Smith.
Survivors include three children: Sharon Driscoll and husband Rashad and their children: Anthony, Rashad, Jr., Shiasia and Rashid; Albert Smith, Jr. and wife April and their daughter Carrie; and Marian Smith and her children: Voshon, Saveyon and Johanas; two siblings: Patricia A. Barakat and Darryl Smith and wife Renee; four great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
All services will be private.
