Billy Jefferson Danner

Billy was born on November 19, 1932, in Hickory, North Carolina, son of the late David and Nora Danner. Billy served our great nation in the U.S. Army and later retired from the U.S. Air Force. He fought in the Korean War and Battle of Pork Chop Hill. He retired again from Dominion North Anna Nuclear Power Station. He was a dedicated member of the NRA and loved being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved singing country music and hymns and watching his favorite western, Gunsmoke!

His wife of 65 years, Viola Danner preceded Billy in death on May 20, 2015.

Billy is survived by his 3 sons, David Danner of Spotsylvania, VA, Dougles Danner of Jacksonville, FL and Roland Danner of Spotsylvania, VA; His 3 daughters, Sharon Garrett of Caroline, VA, Patricia Danner of Staunton, VA and Shirley Hall (Danner) of Spotsylvania, VA; His brother, Thomas Danner of Charlotte, NC; His sister, Maryann Bowman of Raleigh, NC; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild arriving in September 2023.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. A military graveside service will occur Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
