He was born August 19, 1934 in Ansted, West Virginia. He was a US Army veteran who served over 20 years in service.
Byrl is survived by three sons, Michael (Karyn), Steve, and Scott (Laura); six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shelby Jean Skaggs, "Puddin".
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with the family recieving friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
