He was born on October 16, 1984 in New York City, NY the son of the late Austin B. Speed, Jr. and Patricia A. (Bertucci) Iannucci.
David was a warm, funny and loving person - his family and friends (furry or human) were the most important things in his life. He loved his family deeply and was a fiercely loyal and supportive friend. David had an infectious laugh, a quick wit and always dreamed big. He also really enjoyed his job, and the people he worked with - He was the Director of Management for Pearson Smith Property Management.
One big thing we can take with us as we remember David and keep him in our hearts is to tell the people in your life that you love them. Make it clear, make it weird, do it often.
ALSO: Embrace the things you care about completely and without fear of judgment - be a fanboy, bask in the joy of it. Rock out to that one album over and over again, watch that movie a million times, quote your favorite TV show, share every funny internet video, buy the t-shirt, be that guy! Smile easily, laugh hard and love harder.
Survivors include his mother and step father, Patricia A. Iannucci and Ralph M. Iannucci of Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters, Mary E. Speed of Charlottesville, VA and Katherine L. Speed of Reston, VA ; two half-brothers, Scott A. Speed of Cold Spring Harbor, NY and Austin B. Speed, IV of Georgetown, KY.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Donations can be made in David’s name supporting the Loudoun County Animal Shelter (he’d really love that), sympathy cards can be sent to the family at:
