Edward Lewis Long

Edward L. Long, 76 of Fredericksburg, VA passed away peacefully in his sleep at home Monday, June 1, 2015. Edward was born Nov. 24, 1938 in Rockville, Maryland. He was a resident of Springfield, VA until his move to Falls Run community in Fredericksburg. He worked with Marriott Corp. for 20+ years and then Giant Food for 20+ years as an Architectural Draftsmen. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Mary Long and brother Robert Long. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Long; his loving children, Edward L. Long III, John P. Long and wife Nancy, and Chrisanne D. Lenzsch and husband Rolf; eight beautiful grandchildren, Stephen, Connor, Taylor, Preston, Austin, Jeremy, Andrew, and Joshua; and three loving sisters, Betty Boone, Peggy Jahn, and Patricia Kenney; and dearest extended family Larry and Tammy Morris and their loving children, Kortnie and Cameron. Ed was a great man, husband, father, brother, and friend to all those he touched. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg at 1:00 pm, with the family receiving friends from 11-1:00pm prior to the service.
