Elise Anna Velez, 11 of Spotsylvania passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 after a three-year battle with cancer. She lived a life full of love, joy and laughter. She was a bright light to all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving parents, Eduardo and Lindsay Velez; brother Ethan Velez; maternal grandparents, Karen Eubanks and Nick Harris; paternal grandparents, Maria Alicea and Silvio Velez; and great grandfather Donald Harrison. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Brenda Franks Harrison.
The family will receive those who wish to give their condolences at Riverclub Church on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m., at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with her interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. A reception in memory of Elise will be held in Kobler Hall located within the Methodist Church both during and following her interment.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to Fairy Godmother Project or The Sweet Julia Grace Foundation.
