Lys was born on September 19,1967 in Newport Rhode Island. She had a passion for helping others and giving to those in need. After graduating from college, she spent years working in the field of Social Work and as a Domestic Violence Victim Advocate. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she touched during this time.
She will be deeply missed by her friends and family but will forever be remembered for her love and the dedication she provided.
She is survived by her husband Patrick E. Reed, her two children Connor and Danielle Zins, her parents John and Wynetta Colwell, sister Anna Colwell, brother John Colwell, and numerous friends.
For those of you that truly knew Lys, you will understand why she chose no formal services. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
