Eva Marta Cassidy

Eva Marta Cassidy, 78, of Fredericksburg entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Born Eva Marta Eklund in Stockholm, Sweden, she came to the United States to live with her aunt, uncle and cousin. She met her husband 2 years later and eventually became as U.S. citizen. She is survived by her sons, Alan (Mona) Cassidy and Paul (Stacy) Cassidy; sister, Gunnel (Uno) Backhans; brothers, Ante (Margareta) Eklund, Lasse (Tina) Eklund and Olle Eklund; and grandchildren, Christian, Laurie, Roy, Hope, Jenna and Aaron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel James Cassidy. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, October 15 at Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church in Stevensville, MD. Private interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
