He is survived by nine children, Raymond Newton, Wayne Newton, William Newton, Carl Jason Newton, Amy Newton, Brian Newton, Margie Newton, Kevin Newton, and Mark Newton; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Newton; two sons, Steven Newton and John Newton; and his parents, Charles Edgar Newton and Janet Bourne Newton.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel from 6-8:00 pm.
