Jack Wine passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2018 with his family surrounding him.
He served 28 years in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. After retirement, he spent many years as a government contractor working as a logistician. In his free time he loved going fishing with his brother and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lydia; loving father to Amy Stierwalt and her husband Chad, Jack D. Wine, Jr., Tammy Fedder and her husband Brian, Stephen Kaiser, and Randy Kaiser; loving grandpa to Brittany, Max, Jonavin, and Selena. He is also survived by his loyal and dedicated “Big Brother” Ronnie Lee Wine and his wife Jean; his nephews and nieces, Robbie Wine, Bryan Barber, and Amber Thomas; a special great-niece, Evelyn “Sugar Pie”; and several other extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A memorial service will begin in the chapel at 4:00pm. A private interment with military honors will be held at a later date at Quantico National Cemetery.
