March 19, 1972- September 27, 2025
Fredericksburg, Virginia
Julie Ann Divine, beloved wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, surrounded by her family- the people she loved the most fiercely in the world at 53 years old.
Born to Charles and Carolyn Reynolds, Julie lived a life marked by strength, service, laughter and love. She carried herself with warmth and grace, and if you were lucky enough to be part of her world, you know just how brightly she could light it up.
Known lovingly as "Jules," she met the love of her life, Courtland Divine, while in college at Murray State University, in Kentucky. Their connection was instant and unwavering- one that endured through distance, deployments, and decades of partnership. After Courtland was called to serve in Desert Storm, their bond only deepened. They married on June 3, 1995, beginning a lifelong adventure hand in hand.
Julie was a proud and passionate mother of four daughters- Harley, Alana, Erika, and Chloee- and the proud grandmother of Dakoda Hoffman. Her girls, and grandson, were the center of her universe and there was never a moment that she didn't brag about their accomplishments, big or small. Her love for her family was the kind that burned bright and never dimmed.
Jules wore many titles- Karate blackbelt, color guard instructor, military spouse, community fun organizer, and crochet queen- but above all, she was a champion of people. As a former Family Readiness Group Leader for the U S Army's Old Guard Fife and Drum Corp, a village mayor at Ft. Belvoir and recipient of the prestigious Dr. Mary E. Walker Award, Julie supported and uplifted countless military families, embodying the spirit of resilience and compassion.
Whether organizing a potluck, telling a story that had everyone laughing, or hand- making a gift with her crochet hook, Julie gave herself selflessly and without hesitation. She truly Lived, Laughed, and Loved to the fullest- just as she always said we all should.
Julie is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Courtland, her four daughters Harley, Alana, Erika, and Chloee, her grandson Dakoda, her father Charles Reynolds, Sister Joy Easley, and brother Jeff Reynolds. She is reunited in heaven with her mother Carolyn Reynolds.
Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the stories she told, the smiles she shared, and the family she built and cherished with all her heart.
A celebration of Julie's extraordinary life will be held on Tuesday October 7 at 11:00am at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, friends of the family are welcome at 10:00am. The service will be conducted by Rev. John Hodgen, as well as her children and husband. Burial will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico.
