Kelley Baker was the kind of person who could light up a room without even trying. Bright, colorful, funny, and deeply compassionate, Kelley lived her life with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. She passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a family who adored her and countless lives forever changed by her care.
Kelley devoted her entire professional life to nursing, a calling she truly lived. From emergency rooms to hospice care, from leadership roles as a director to hands-on bedside care, she did it all. No matter the setting, her favorite place was always home care—where she could take care of people one-on-one, the way she believed it should be done. To Kelley, nursing wasn’t just a career; it was who she was.
Outside of work, Kelley was full of life and joy. She loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and never took herself too seriously. She was a devoted fan of Dale Earnhardt, and it’s only fitting to say that she approached life the same way he approached the track—fast, fearless, and with absolutely no intention of lifting her foot off the gas. We can only imagine her now, smiling somewhere up above, proudly saying, “If you ain’t first, you’re last.”
Kelley was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Dean Snow Sr.; her brother, Jimmy Dean Snow II; and her sister, Karen Denise Snow.
She is survived by her two sons, Patrick Baker (the oldest) and Tyler Baker (the youngest), who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her mother, Nancy Snow; her sister, Jenn; her brother-in-law, Roberto; her nephew, Jordan Libertino; her nieces, Selena Libertino and Skylar. And last, but not least “her boys”Kelley’s love extended far beyond immediate family—she had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged.
Kelley will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, her strength, and the way she showed up for people when they needed it most. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the patients she cared for, and the family who will carry her spirit forward every single day.
