Linda Lou Jones, lovingly known as “Dolly,” passed away at the age of 69, leaving behind a family who adored her deeply. She is survived by her devoted husband, who misses her beyond measure, and her two daughters, who will forever cherish her warmth, strength, and creativity.
Linda found her greatest joy in the simple, tender moments—especially the evenings spent on the back deck with her husband, where the two would often slow dance to their favorite music. Those quiet dances, filled with love and connection, became some of their most treasured memories together.
A gifted and passionate artist, Linda expressed herself beautifully through painting. Her artwork, shared generously with friends and family, will continue to brighten their homes and hearts. She was deeply proud of her craft and the joy it brought to others.
Though not traditionally religious, Linda held a sincere belief in God and prayed often, carrying a quiet faith that guided and comforted her throughout her life.
Linda’s loyal dog, Dooley, was her constant daytime companion and misses her dearly, as do all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kindness, creativity, and loving spirit will be remembered always.
Survivors include her loving husband, Tim Jones; two daughters: Amy Willison (Troy) and Carrie Humbertson (Kevin); three brothers: Harry Dolly (June), Richard Dolly (Lori) and Carl Dolly, Jr. (Pam); sister, Carol Miller (Dave); six grandchildren: Cheyenne (Austin), Calebb (Maddison), Abbie (Jared), Brienne (Austin), Lillie and Kevin, Jr.; two great grandchildren: Kinsley and Tripp; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and her beloved Lab Dooley.
A memorial service will be held at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, located at 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22401. The service is scheduled for November 29, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers at www.t2t.org or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
