Louis E Hendrick III

Louis Edwin Hendrick, III born on May 31, 1957 in Alexandria Virginia, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025 after a long courageous battle with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg VA and resided in Caroline County.

Louis was a kind, loving, hardworking man who worked as a mechanic most of his life, he was always willing to help anyone out who needed and even in his final months here on earth he was still trying to work on cars and do things that he probably shouldn’t have been trying to do.

Louis enjoyed listening to music, working on cars, fixing things around the house, going dancing, playing cards, hanging out with family, going out to eat, good conversation, having a few drinks with his wife, making jokes, and good food!

Louis is predeceased in death by his parents Louis Hendrick II and Rose Cooper, also a sister Anita Hallaway.

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Holly Hendrick, his loving sister Elizabeth Pearson who resides in Florida, a son Louis Hendrick IV, step son Mark Dale Jr, step daughters Mallory Dale, Melissa Shanahan (Kyele Shanahan), and Marlena Dale (Ethan Rzechula) also survived by 2 grandchildren Matthew Denson, Jr and Madelyn Shanahan also numerous nieces and nephews and caring friends.

Cremation done by Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home

A celebration of life will be held on December 14, 2025 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Caroline Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, VA 22514.
