Marshall Honaker

Marshall Andrew Honaker, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Honaker; his children, Rhonda Kane, Lynn Tallagsen, Alleta Lamar, Dianna Howard, Raymond Douglass and Jason Honaker. Mr. Honaker will also be greatly missed by his three stepsons, Phillip, Michael, and James Civitarese; his granddaughter, Erica Civitarese; his great granddaughter, Kindyl Chasen; his sisters, Delma Conner and Rebecca Dillon; and his 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Rex Honaker and his siblings, Margaret Leach, Betty Files, Lucille Lanahan, Lacy Honaker and Raymond Honaker. Mr. Honaker is a Korean War Veteran and worked in Baltimore, MD at Bethlehem Steel Plant until he retired at the age of 62 and moved to Fredericksburg, VA. He enjoyed adopting pets and had a love for feeding and watching the wildlife. He never missed an Orioles game on TV, and he loved playing the lottery, betting on the “ponies” and playing cards. Mr. Honaker’s visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. His Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Hartwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Fredericksburg, VA.
