Late in the afternoon of November 19, 2025 Patricia Ann Kingsley passed peacefully from this world. She is now with the Angels, without pain or fear. At the time of passing she was at peace spiritually, physically and emotionally. She was at home in Stafford, Virginia with her family, and her cherished treasures she had collected over her years on earth.
On November 10, 1950, Patricia came into this world in Ventura California, and joined her parents Edward and Mildred Knoll in living the nomadic military lifestyle. She was a proud “Army Brat!” Through frequent moves, new friendships and adventures she and her family arrived in Missouri where she completed high school. Along the way her very best friend, and life’s companion joined her in this grand adventure. Her sister Linda Knoll (Barnes) North Charleston South Carolina and Patricia have shared a love based bond that has remained unbroken through time, separation and circumstance.
During Patricia’s High School years, she met a local Missouri boy named George Kingsley. Their attraction for one another was immediate, magical, physical, and steadfast and quickly turned to love. In 1969, in a military chapel, while in the presence of God, family and friends she married the love of her life, that local Missouri boy. George had joined the military at the time of their marriage and Patricia’s grand nomadic adventure continued. At the time of her passing Patricia and her local Missouri boy had spent over 56 years together.
Along this grand nomadic adventure Patricia became the Mother of four fabulous children. David Kingsley (Winona) Tampa, Florida, Brian Kingsley (Monica)Torrington, Wyoming, Barbara Sammons (Eric) Clayton North Carolina, Shannon Gielty (Tony) North Olmsted Ohio. Patricia’s special kind of love and guidance has truly played a significant role in making this a better world as reflected through her children. Each are strong and contributing members of our society. In return her children blessed her with ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. May the cycle of life be unbroken.
Patricia was a collector of beautiful things from around the world. Dolls, stuffed bears, jewelry, seasonal decorations (Christmas, Easter, Halloween (only the cute stuff), Spring, Fall), figurines, pictures etc., etc., etc. In addition, she had an artists eye when displaying those things she had collected and loved. In a reflective moment Patricia would often say that her mission in life was to “feather her nest for her family”.
Patricia was preceded in death by her loving parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her local Missouri boy (husband), life long friend and companion (sister) and fabulous children, grand children and great grandchildren. Also along this grand nomadic adventure she met many more travelers that she loved, and she was loved in return. She will be missed.
