To know Ruth was to love her. She was always kind and loving to everyone. She was a great teacher, loved to share her knowledge. Ruth's favorite thing to do was read, absolutely loved it. If she was sitting she had a book in her hands. Ruth loved gardening, she could grow anything, she definitely had a green thumb. Ruth loved animals, alot of her artwork included animals. She enjoyed bird watching and could identify every wild bird in Virginia. Ruth was an amazing artist, for many years she taught Tri-Chem painting classes. She was very creative with her painting and crafting, she could upcycle just about anything and make it a masterpiece. Ruth enjoyed football and was a die hard Washington Redskin fan. Ruth enjoyed parties, concerts, cookouts and family get togethers. Ruth loved spending time with her family.
Ruth always said she was gonna live to be 100yrs old and when that day came she was so excited and proud of herself, she said "I don't feel that old, I feel good". Ruth was strong in her faith and was ready for the Lord to call her home. Ruth is going to be missed by so many, we will cherish all the wonderful memories we made with her and remember all the lessons she taught us.
A verse from her favorite hymn Old Rugged Cross- "then he'll call me some day to my home far away, where his glory forever I'll share".
