Sarah Jane (Bowie) Cash Samuels, 86, of King George, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital. Sarah leaves behind a loving and devoted family, including three daughters; Martha Ann Reeves Curtis and special friend Tony; Carolyn Cash Turman and husband Michael; Sharon Cash Hoelscher and husband Darryl; six grandchildren, Brandon, Taylor and girlfriend Kathleen, Logan, Danny, Kristy and husband Joe; Kim and husband Bobby; and four great-grandchildren, Joey, April, Lanie and Luke, several nephews and nieces, and many extended family members whom she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cora Lee Shelton Bowie and William I. “Biggie” Bowie, and her loving husband of many years, Earl D. Cash, and later in life, husband Gilbert (Sam) Samuels, and two sisters, Frances Bowie Shelton Gray, and Martha V. Bowie (Infant); and three brothers, William R. Bowie Sr., Calvin L. Bowie and Rolland W. Bowie. Sarah was a business woman, and a talented seamstress. She loved to cook for, and spend time with her cherished family. One of her favorite past times was cooking with her grandson Brandon. She especially enjoyed morning outings with her dear friends, Ethyl, Shaw, Ginny, Linda, Doris and many others, and the special times she spent with good friend, Milson. Sarah’s family will receive friends Monday, May 3, 2021 from 1:00pm-2:00pm, with the funeral service to follow, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Pastor Jesse Booth of Zoan Baptist Church will officiate the service. Interment will take place following the service, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
