

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Annie was born January 18, 1937 in Cheneyville, Louisiana to Sam and Selena Crittle Johnson and they preceded her in death.
She graduated High School in Cheneyville before moving to Missouri and working at Sutton Cleaners in Columbia. She then worked for the State of Missouri as a Foster Parent for seven years before beginning a career as a babysitter and care giver to hundreds of children in Fulton.
Annie was a Founding Member of Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church and was officially known as the Mother of the Church.
She will be remembered for her love of singing, cooking for everyone and praising the Lord.
Annie is survived by daughter, Jean Oliver and fiancé Lafayette Galbreath of Fulton; sons, Larry Bailey and wife, Amanda of Kansas City, Missouri and Madison Taylor, Jr. of Fulton; brother, Rand Johnson of Alexandria, Louisiana; sisters, Selena Cooper and Dessi Johnson of Alexandria, Louisiana and Betty Johnson of South Carolina. Grandchildren; Tressa “Nicky” Bailey, Michael Taylor, Liana Rice and LaRita Robinson along with ten great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
