Carol Sue Edwards

Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Fulton. Visitation will be on June 30th, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Carol was born April 12, 1945 in Callaway County, the daughter of John Clarkson Harrison and Helen Margaret (Hoffman) Harrison. She married Tyke L. Edwards on January 25, 1963. They were married forty seven years when he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one infant daughter, Lisa Gayle.

Carol retired after working thirty-plus years for the Fulton State Hospital. She enjoyed talking care of her cats, going to Senior Citizen dances and going out to eat with friends.

She is survived by one son, Doug (Debbie) Edwards of Joplin, Missouri; two grandsons, Rick (LaDawna) Nichols of Joplin and Michael (Amanda) Nichols of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri; five great-grandsons, Brennan, Zachary, Kaiden, Brady and Jace; sister, Nellie (Gary) McCormack of Fulton; one nephew, David (Jessica) McCormack of Fulton; two nieces, Vicky Francis of Fulton and Brandi (George) Perry and their two children of White, South Dakota along with one brother-in-law, Tommy Edwards and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grabb Animal Shelter or Alzheimer’s Association both in care of Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Missouri 65251.
