Clara Mae Boone Honaker

Clara was born January 24, 1926, in Readsville, MO the daughter of Alfred O. and Maude P. (Tate) Boone. She was united in marriage to Bill D. Honaker on December 30, 1967, in California, MO and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2005.

Clara is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Dixon and husband, Martin of Fulton; one son, James Niblack and wife, Barbara of Fulton; three grandchildren, Ray A. Dixon and wife, Emily, of Issaquah, WA; Juli Huffman and husband Paul of Upper Sandusky, OH; Jeffrey Niblack and wife Tracey of Claremore, OK; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Wendt, Hannibal, MO; Susan Higgins, St. Joseph, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Charley Burton Boone; Harvey Lee Boone, George Edwin Boone; and a sister, Katie Klein.

She loved to crochet, do plastic canvas needlepoint, work her Word Search books, and watch Matlock on TV. She would sing old time hymns as she peddled the exercise bikes during therapy at Fulton Manor.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Fulton, MO.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Debo Funeral Home, with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Hugo Cemetery in New Florence, MO. Visitation will be from 9 AM until time of services.
