Joyce Annette Smith

She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Robert Bolin and Janet Grace.

Joyce was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a natural kindness and a warm sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. Above all else, Joyce loved being a mother. Her children were her whole world, and she poured her heart into each and every one of them with a love that was fierce, unconditional, and endless, the best she knew how.

She worked as a dietary aide, where her caring spirit and desire to help others truly shined. Joyce dreamed of furthering her education to become a drug counselor so she could continue lifting others up and guiding them through difficult times. She had a gift for making people feel seen and heard, never ever judging, always listening, and always showing up when it mattered. Even if she was running late, you could count on Joyce to be there.

Joyce had a way of lighting up any room she entered. She brought laughter, honesty, and realness wherever she went. Whether it was her ongoing adventures with cars or her determination to keep going no matter what life threw her way, she faced life with resilience and heart.

She is survived by her loving parents, Robert Bolin and Janet Grace; her siblings, Jason Bolin, Nekisha Bolin, Lisa Redmen, and Shannon Grace; her husband, Micheal Smith; and her beloved children, Masonn Nowlin, Corbin Nowlin, Chevy Smith, Natilie Smith, Lane Smith, and Londyn Atterberry, who will carry her love with them always.

Visitation will be from 12-3 PM. Debo Funeral Home (833 Court St, Fulton, MO 65231) with a Celebration of Life at 3 PM.

A gathering and dinner to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at the Auxvasse Community Center, (298-200 S Main St, Auxvasse, MO 65231/right beside Champs Chicken)

Joyce will be deeply missed beyond words, but her love, laughter, and spirit will live on the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Robert Bolin, Micheal Smith, Masonn Nowlin, Corbin Nowlin, Chevy Smith, and Chris Nowlin.
