Lorene Martin

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Lorene was born June 9, 1933 in Savannah, Tennessee to Manuel and Perline Dillhunt Higgins and they preceded her in death.

She was a long time and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fulton and had retired from Fulton State Hospital.

She enjoyed dancing and traveling but she will be best remembered for her warm heart and being a loving mother to her family.

She is survived by sons, Donald Martin of Jefferson City, Robert Martin, Jr. of Fulton, Willie Martin of Fulton and Steven Martin of Fulton; daughters, Lovey Wilson of Fulton, Martha Mitchell of Columbia and Liz Churchill of St. Louis; brother, Manuel Higgins of Elkhart, Indiana; sister, Betty Williams of Columbia along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by daughters, JoAnn Martin, Lenora Martin and Barbara Gilliams and her brother, Willie Frank Higgins.
