

She was born November 12, 1927 in Tibbetts, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar William Summers and Josephine Langley Summers. Margaret worked at Greenspons, The Arrowhead Motel and Joe’s Café of Columbia. She retired in 1992 from the University of Missouri, Lewis and Clarke Dining Hall Services and Rosie’s Diner.
Margaret raised seven children, three who have preceded her in death: Linda Kay Gibson, Sheryl Lynn Gibson, and Walter Lee Gibson. Survivors include one son: William Eugene(Donna) Gibson; three daughters: Vanda Louise (Larry) Rice, Marsha Jean (Chuck) Boelkes, and Barbara Elliott (Thurman Summerlott); one daughter-in-law, Rosemary Gibson; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lois Spencer; one sister-in-law, Elnora (Frank) Pucket; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22nd from 4-6:00 pm at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23rd at 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, interment will follow at Bull Cemetery.
