Marian T. Chrisman

Graveside services at Callaway Memorial Gardens will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Williamson at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

Marian was born August 18, 1908 on her family’s farm near Steedman, Missouri to Larry and Maude Hills Tyler. She was married to Elvin Clyde “Chris” Chrisman who preceded her in death in 1995.

She received her degree to teach mathematics from Williams Woods University in Fulton and taught school in Kennett, Missouri and later in Benton Harbor, Michigan until her retirement.

Marian was a member of Prairie Chapel Methodist Church near Fulton and she enjoyed traveling with her husband, quilting, crocheting and making jewelry.

Survivors include her step-son, Phil (Ruth Ann) Chrisman of Silver Springs, Florida; grandchildren, Phillip Charles Chrisman and Kelly Sue Hunt; several great-grandchildren and two nieces, Sue Lucas of Mexico, Missouri, Janet (Clyde) Wyman of Bloomfield, Colorado, one nephew, Howard (Marie) Treseder of Nevis, Minnesota. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Homer and Harry Tyler and sister, Helen Tyler.
