Richard Wyatt Nelson

Richard was in the army from 1971 until 1973. He returned to Texas where he refurbished computers for over 15 years. He then moved to Colorado in 2000 where he became a corrections officer for two years at Crowley County Correctional Center in Onley Springs. Upon moving to Missouri in 2007, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and many barbeques with family and friends.

Survivors include loved ones, Sandra Gennetten, sweetheart of twelve years; daughter, Brandie Harris and husband Warren and their children, Luke and Allie; Aaron and Adam Bowers; Arlee Johnson and her children, Taylor and Michael; Michael Gennetten and wife Jennifer and their children, Gabe and Crissa; Rebecca Satterthwaite and husband Scott and their children, Dakota, Jasper, and Sebastian; and Prudence Wilbanks; and many others he touched in their lives.

A memorial will be held August 18, 2012 at Veteran’s Park from 11 am until 2 pm.

In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Debo Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
