

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 at the funeral home.
Jack was born October 31, 1929 in Reform, Missouri to Sterling and Bessie Coats Shiverdecker and they preceded him in death. He was married to Bonnie Guerrant on February 7, 1954 in Fulton and she survives.
He graduated from Fulton High School in 1949 and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-52.
Jack worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Supervisor at Harbison–Walker Refractories until his retirement in 1992. He was a charter member of Fulton Heartland Church of the Nazarene and he enjoyed singing and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is also survived by children, Georgann (Steven) Sembler of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dawn Lumpkin of Kansas City, Missouri, Lori (Sheridan) Attig of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Jeff (Sally) Shiverdecker of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Naomi Boone of Fulton; grandchildren, Dan (Kristin) Sembler of Raleigh, North Carolina, Brittany Sembler of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jennifer Lumpkin of Chicago, Illinois, Nathan Lumpkin of Chicago, Illinois, Victoria Lumpkin of Kansas City, Missouri, Kristin Attig of St. Louis, Missouri, Peter Attig of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jacob Shiverdecker of Columbus, Ohio and Elizabeth Shiverdecker of Columbus, Ohio.
Jack was also preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Coats, Clifford and George H. Shiverdecker and sisters, Beatrice Bezler, Ruby Garrett, Polly Mae Moore, Treva Fred, Neva McDonald and Mary Jane Salmons.
