She was born on November 4, 1928 to John and Bertha Derleth Miller and they preceded her in death. She was married on May 21, 1949 in Steedman, Missouri to Ralph Bolton and he preceded her in death.
Verda enjoyed quilting and canning pickles and she loved spending time in the outdoors.
She is survived by sons, Ray (Laura) Bolton of Fulton and Gene Bolton of Mexico, Missouri; grandson, Scott and his children, Ethan and Mikayla and grandson, Brad, his wife, Andi and grandson Wes, his wife, Jen and their children, Gavin and Vera.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
