

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, with military honors, at Rainbow Memorial Gardens for Mr. A.C. “Curt” Boyd, age 90, Gadsden who died Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Rev. Bill Parker and Rev. Roy Daugherty will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mr. Boyd was a lifelong resident of Gadsden,
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the third Army and served under General George Patton. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.
He retired from LTV Steel with over 47 years of service.
Mr. Boyd volunteered and drove the courtesy cart at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and was active in volunteer work with Way of the Cross and MANNA.
He is survived by his family.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all nurses of all three shifts at Gadsden Regional Medical Center 9th Floor, Alacare Hospice Staff, especially Suzanne, Kelley, Kristy and Fred for your excellent care of Mr. Boyd and your compassion to the family, Nurses and Techs at Gadsden Health and Rehab Center.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Way of the Cross.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
