
Funeral services will be Thursday, February, 7, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral home for Annie Frances Gay, 89, who passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Rev. Harvey Beck and Rev. Tammy Jackson will officiate. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL at 3:00 p.m. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Gay was active in the Garden Club and a member of the Eastern Star and a devout Christian. She was a Sunday school teacher at 1st United Methodist Church of Gadsden and in earlier years at Bellevue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Bessie Ray and step-mother, Sarah Ray; husband, Clarence Gay; sister-in-law, Margaret Sulser and step-son, Charles Gay.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Randall) Smith; granddaughters: Margaret (Scott) Miklic, Laura (James) Ernst, and Katherine (Casey) Calloway; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Ellie (Josephine) Ray; sisters: Laura Morton, and Delene (Conrad) Moorer; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Margaret Robinson (Ms. Preach).
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to 1st United Methodist Church of Gadsden at 115 S. 5th Street, Gadsden, Al 35901.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 10:30-12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
