Bessie Louise Hines

Bessie Louise Hines, affectionately known as "Louise Bishop", passed away on Monday, August 5th, 2024, in her hometown of Gadsden, Alabama. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 09, 2024 at 2:00pm at Collier-Butler Chapel. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Bluff Cemetery in Cedar Bluff, Alabama.

Louise was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when she was needed the most, offering support, wisdom, and an abundance of love. Louise loved the outdoors. She enjoyed planting flowers and bird watching. When the weather was too cold outside, she enjoyed doing her word searches, rearranging, and always painting something in her house. Louise will be profoundly missed but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were bless to know her.

Louise was preceded in death by her son, Connie Mack Bishop in 2018; grandson, Jeffrey Blake Bishop; husband, Charlie H. Hines in 2021; and by her parents, Ruby K. Bishop and Albert Sexton.

Louise is survived by her daughter Teresa (Jeffrey) Smith; sons, Jeffrey Melvin Bishop and Allen (Ashley) Bishop; grandchildren Mandi (Russell) Stancil, Casey (Lilli) Bishop, Jeffrey (Heather) Smith, Stacy (Steven) Ricketts, Samantha (Ryan) Lyons and Tristan Bishop; many great grandchildren and extended family members.

The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday, August 09, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
