Betty Brannon Guyton

Betty Brannon Guyton, age 76, of Southside, AL passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Betty was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School class of 1965. She was a dental hygienist and worked in children’s dentistry all of her life. She truly loved her job, working in the yard, shopping, and going to the beach. Above all, Betty loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Miles Preston Wilkerson; mother, Etha Wilkerson; brother, Wayne Wilkerson; sister, Kay Wilkerson; first husband, Richard Brannon; and second husband, Earl Guyton.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Traci (Alan) Taliaferro; granddaughters, Amber Luker and Allison Luker; great granddaughters, Abigail Luker and Rachel Luker; brother, Michael (Sabrina) Wilkerson; and sister, Mathael Pigg.

Pallbearers will be Toney Patterson, Alan Taliaferro, Matthew Patterson, and Morgan Morgan.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Gadsden Regional 7th floor the SICU staff, and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for all of their help.

The family will accept friends from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday.
