Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden,Alabama for Betty Joyce Daniel Childs,

83 of Montevallo, Alabama. The Rev. Mike McGinnis (nephew) and Rev.

Randy Gunter will officiate. Senator Hank Erwin (Son in Law) and Rev.

Joseph Childs Jr. (Step Son) will also help with the service. Friends

are welcome to attend the graveside service at Crestwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Childs was born in Gadsden on August 16, 1929 to Rev. W. H.

McGinnis and Bertha McGinnis . She attended Gaston High School and

graduated from Gadsden State Jr. College. She was married to Seab H.

Daniel Jr. for 30 years and after his death married John A. Childs

Sr.- they were married for 30 year until his death in 2008. She served

as a beloved Sunday school teach at Meadowbrook Baptist Church for

many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great

grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters Shelia Daniel Erwin (Hank), Deborah

Bobo ( Grady) , sons Joseph Childs Sr. ( Nalda ) John A. Childs Jr.

(Barbra), Brother Don McGinnis (Judy), 6 grandchildren and 11 great-

grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

There will be no visitation.
