

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Betty Hanks Lasseter, 84, Gadsden passed away Monday, April 28, 2014. Rev. Jack Campbell will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mrs. Lasseter was a home maker and a longstanding member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she kept the nursery for many years. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband of 67 years; DeWitt Lasseter, parents, B.C. and Cora Hanks, brother, Bud Hanks and sister, Sara McDaniel.
She is survived by her daughters: Myra (G.W.) Campbell, Gadsden, Marilyn (Frank) Wolfe, Springville, AL and Carolyn Dean, Kimberly, AL, grandsons: Eric (Kelly) Richards, Chris Richards, Jason (Brandie) Wolfe, Jeff (Charlotte) Wolfe and Matthew (Katie) Dean, granddaughters: Tammy (Bradley) Arnold and Haley (Steven) Brown, great grandsons: John Eric Richards, Chandler Richards, Alex Arnold, Jack Wolfe, Parker Wolfe, Sam Wolfe and Tyler Brown; great granddaughters: Destiny Richards and her fiancée, Taylor Preston, Chasity Richards, Campbell Burford, Anna Beth Arnold, Sally Wolfe and Ella Kate Dean, sisters: Frances (Charles) Henson, Judy Strawn, Marilyn Sue (Steve) Yarbrough, Wanda (Dennis) Simmons and Marie Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to: Gadsden Health Care for treating our mother and grandmother like family; Nurses and staff of Alacare Hospice, special neighbor, Jean Patterson, Kendra Lasseter and her sisters, “Love You Fine”.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church of Coates Bend Nursery Department.
The family will accept friends from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
