Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Collier-Butler Chapel with Rev. Larry Garrard officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Bobby was born on May 15, 1938, in Gadsden, Alabama, to Alfred and Lanie Snow. He graduated from Emma Sansom High School and married the love of his life, Dot Rutledge Snow, on January 19, 1957. Together, they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage and built a life centered around faith, hard work, and family.
Bobby will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a tough, strong, and hardworking man. Despite facing numerous health problems throughout much of his adult life, he never complained and faithfully persevered through every challenge. He believed deeply in commitment and responsibility, and those who worked alongside him were amazed by his determination, work ethic, and dedication.
Sports were one of Bobby’s lifelong passions. He loved baseball, girls’ fast-pitch softball, and football. In his younger years, he played catcher in the men’s fast-pitch softball league and later became one of the proudest supporters of his sons, nephews, and family members at their sporting events. He loved cheering them on and rarely missed an opportunity to show his support.
In retirement, Bobby especially treasured visits from family and friends. He enjoyed fellowship, conversation, and could talk for hours with anyone who stopped by.
Bobby was a faithful member of College Heights Baptist Church. It deeply saddened him when declining health prevented him and Dot from attending services regularly, as he dearly loved his church family and remained steadfast in his faith.
Above all else, Bobby loved his family beyond measure. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who treasured every moment spent with those he loved. During the last 15 months of his life, visits from his great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy and comfort. No matter how difficult the day, seeing his grands and great grands always lifted his spirits and brightened his smile.
Bobby lived out his faith through generosity, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. His family will forever cherish the example he set and the legacy of love and family he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dot Snow; his parents, Alfred and Lanie Snow; and siblings, Marvin (Ruth) Snow, Milton (Ruth) Snow, Millard (Barbara) Snow, Frances (Wandell) Brown, Alfred Jr. (Jean) Snow, Frankie (Howard) Stout, and Melvin (Laverne) Snow.
