

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2011, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Master Sergeant, Bruce Alan Elliott, 49, Gadsden who went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2011. Rev. Philip Elliott and Rev. Albert Morgan will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with military honors. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.
Bruce retired from the Air National Guard with 25 years of service. He served as a volunteer Fireman and owned and operated Elliott’s Service Station. He lived his life as a true Christian serving both his community and country through love and true devotion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lamar Elliott, grandparents, Troy and Lora Elliott, Eric and Doris Copeland.
Bruce is survived by his wife and best friends of 25 years, Marketta Elliott, daughters, Kim Holcomb, Kelly (Jamie) Harper, son, Dakota Elliott, grandchildren, Brayden and Mylie Harper. Mother, Sue Elliott, brother, Jeff (Jennifer) Elliott, sister, Lisa Williams, several nieces, nephews and many friends and family.
The family extends a special thanks to Lawley Hospice and all the support of friends, family and the 117th Air Refueling Wing and Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be, Sgt. Jackie Flack, Sgt. Steve Evans, Sgt. Fred Hankey,. Sgt. Tim Howard, Sgt Keith Carlin and Sgt. Chris Owens.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Sgt. Walter Leonard, Lt. Gross, Sgt Josh Denton, Jake Mayo, Danny Yates and Chaplain Darryl Hamaker.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
