Catherine Wyatt Seagle

Catherine Seagle, age 90, of Gadsden,Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 12:30PM on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

Catherine was born on December 23, 1932. She was an Alabama native and lived in the state for most of her life. She was a resident of Daugette Towers for 24 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie and Plumer Wyatt of Alabama; and her husband’s Robert Seagle and Buford Slayton.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself. She is survived by her 7 children, Cathy Viars ( husband Vance Viars-deceased), Debbie Deerman (husband Robin Deerman-deceased), Sharon Deerman ( husband Roland Deerman), Johnny Wyatt, Billy Seagle (wife Rose Seagle), Norman Seagle (wife Suzanne Seagle), Jimmy Seagle and Randal Wyatt (brother). Catherine had 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She loved bingo, making jewelry, going to Gospel retreats and watching Family Feud. She took amazing pride in how she presented herself. She always “dressed to the nines”, hair and makeup were always perfect. She didn’t know a stranger and loved everyone that she met. She always had kind words to say and her actions of kindness spoke volumes. She left a lasting memory in our hearts that can never be replaced. We love you!

The family would like to send our gratitude to Hope Hospice of Alabama. Your compassionate care and support during these times was so appreciated and ensured a peaceful transition for our mother.

The family will accept friends from 5PM to 7PM at the funeral home Friday evening.
